Enhance Your Natural Shape With a Breast Lift
If you have noticed your breasts sitting lower on your chest, nipples pointing downward, or a loss of upper breast fullness, you might have started considering getting a breast lift.
Many women across the Phoenix metro area experience sagging after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, or simply as a result of aging.
A breast lift can raise and reshape the breasts to restore a firmer, perkier appearance. This lift procedure removes stretched skin, repositions the nipple and areola, and modifies the remaining tissue to create a tighter contour.
Even without changing breast size, a lift can dramatically improve how your body looks and how you feel.
What is a Breast Lift?
Also called mastopexy, a breast lift is a surgical procedure that elevates and reshapes the breasts.
The procedure involves removing excess skin, tightening the remaining tissue, and repositioning the nipple and areola higher on the breast.
A breast lift does not significantly change breast size, but it can be combined with breast implant placement or reduction breast surgery to achieve your ideal proportions.
At our Scottsdale office, our team performs breast lift surgery with a focus on natural results and a balanced shape that fits your frame.
If you are ready to restore your shape and confidence, a breast lift may be right for you.
Benefits of Breast Enhancement
A breast lift surgery addresses multiple concerns that develop over time to help you feel more confident and comfortable in your own skin. Here’s what you can expect from this procedure:
Ideal Candidates
for Breast Lift
The best candidates for a mastopexy surgery are women who want to address sagging or loss of breast volume without significantly changing their overall breast size. Let’s break down the key qualifications:

Noticeable Breast Sagging
Nipples that point downward or fall below the breast crease often indicate that a lift can restore balance and position.

Healthy Skin Quality
Skin should have enough elasticity to tighten and reshape around the breast tissue for a natural, lifted appearance.

Stable Weight
Maintaining a consistent weight for at least six months helps preserve the results and prevents unnecessary stretching of skin.

Finished Childbearing
Future pregnancies can change breast shape again, so many patients choose to wait until they are done having children.

Overall Good Health
Candidates should be non-smokers with no uncontrolled medical conditions and be cleared for surgery.
Women who meet these criteria often find that a breast lift provides the appearance they’ve been looking for. We will evaluate your individual anatomy and goals to determine if mastopexy is the right choice for you.
Ready to explore a breast lift in Scottsdale and Phoenix?
Breast Lift Consultation at Our Scottsdale Office
Your consultation is the first step toward a personalized treatment plan. During your visit, Dr. Mark will evaluate your breast position, skin elasticity, and nipple placement.
He will discuss your goals and whether a lift alone or a combination1 with breast augmentation surgery or a breast reduction is right for you. If you are a candidate for a more holistic option like a mommy makeover, you will discuss that with him as well.
Dr. Mark will explain incision options, review recovery, and discuss what results you can expect. Every plan is customized to your anatomy and goals to give you a natural, proportionate result.
How to Prepare for Breast Lift Surgery
Taking time to prepare for your breast lift helps make recovery smoother and more comfortable. Here are some key steps to follow:

Post-Surgical Bras
Have supportive, wireless post-surgical bras or compression garments ready, as they will be needed.

Front-Opening Clothing
Choose loose, button-down or zip-up tops so you do not need to raise your arms to get dressed.

Fill Prescriptions in Advance
Pick up pain medications and other prescriptions ahead of time so you can focus entirely on rest after surgery.

Schedule Downtime
Plan to take at least one to two weeks off work and avoid heavy lifting or exercise during this period.

Prepare Your Sleeping Area
Arrange a recliner or extra pillows to keep your chest elevated at a 30–45° angle during early recovery.

Organize Essentials
Place toiletries, clothing, and daily items at chest level to avoid stretching or reaching overhead in the first week.

Arrange Support
Have a trusted person drive you home after surgery and stay with you for at least the first 24 hours.

Healthy Habits Before Surgery
Avoid nicotine and limit alcohol in the weeks before surgery to promote proper circulation and better recovery.
Completing these steps ahead of time helps you feel fully supported as you head into surgery day.
What are the Steps of a Breast Lift Procedure?
While each lift is customized, most follow these steps:
Breast Lift Recovery Timeline
Dr. Mark will give you a personalized recovery plan, but most patients can expect the following:
Day 1
On the day of surgery, you will return home wearing a surgical bra. Rest with your upper body elevated and carefully follow all aftercare instructions provided.
Day 2-7
During the first week, mild swelling and bruising are common. Discomfort is managed with prescribed pain medication, and many patients return to light activity.
Weeks 2-3
By the second and third weeks, swelling continues to improve, and the results of your lift become more visible. Stitches are removed or dissolve on their own.
Month 1
Around the one-month mark, healing has progressed, and patients often feel more comfortable resuming regular routines. Some light exercise may be approved.
Weeks 5-6
During the fifth and sixth weeks, most patients are cleared for normal activities, including exercise and lifting. Swelling has decreased significantly, and results are more defined.
Months 3-6
At the three to six months mark, breasts settle into their final position, scars continue to fade, and results appear refined and stable. You will feel comfortable in your own body.

Dr. Mark’s Recovery Tips
